Riddles Bend Baptist

Staff LEadership

The staff leadership of Riddles Bend Baptist is made up of people who love the Lord and love the local church. If you want to learn more about our staff, check out their short bio and contact info.

  • Jerry epps

    Interim Pastor

I was born and raised in Blount County. Carolyn and I have been married for 54 years. I have served as a deacon and as a pastor in the Etowah and St. Clair Baptist Associations. I enjoy preaching the Word and being a servant to God and the people. I have a good sense of humor, a forgiving spirit, and a tremendous love for the church and the people. Looking forward to see what great things are ahead for the church. “God is good, all the time”

  • Debra Carter

    Church and Financial Secretary

Debra became Secretary for Riddles Bend Baptist Church in 2015. She & Steve have been married for 34 years. They have 2 daughters/son-in-laws and 3 grandchildren. She is the voice on the other end of the phone, and the one behind the scenes handing everything that makes Riddles Bend Baptist Church run smoothly.

    Interim Youth Director

I began a career in law enforcement in 1984. In 1989 was hired by The City of Rainbow City. After 9/11 I served 14 years as School Resource Officer, teaching the D.A.R.E. Curriculum and ensuring the safety of the students, staff, & campus. I worked through the ranks and retired as Chief of Police. Still having the desire to serve, I was elected to 2 terms on Rainbow City City Council. In 2020, I did not seek re-election, ending my public service career. Heather & I joined RBBC in August 2022, and both long to serve where God leads.

The confidence RBBC has shown in me as Interim Youth Director is humbling. I pray Go will use my passion for service and guide me in leading young people to discover the love of Christ has for them.
